Madison Elementary hosted a Fall Festival on October 11, 2019 from 4:30-6:00 PM. This event was held as a fundraiser to fulfill the goal of a digital sign. There were many activities, including games, face painting, food, and baked goods for sale. Steve Mielenhausen, Principal at Madison Elementary stated “Fall Fest was a huge success this year. We planned to hold the event outside, but a very chilly October wind caused us to move inside. It was wonderful to see all the students with their families and former Madison students enjoying fun games, crafts, and goodies. A huge shout-out to Central Pro-Start for providing a great dinner and to volunteers from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.”  Davenport Central High School ProStart provides food for Madison families that night as a community outreach. Jenee Cross, director for Central ProStart, stated “Students enjoyed feeding kids and families. Thank you to River Bend Food Bank for the food donation.”
