A 15 year old girl, named Celeste Rivas Hernandez, was found deceased in the trunk of a Tesla registered to the arising singer, David Burke on Sept 8, 2025. Although it is unclear if Burke is guilty, people still have many conspiracy theories such as senior Detaevius Lewis, “They were together, he must have killed her or something and was like ‘oh because you’re gonna snitch that you dated me and you’re a minor, I’m gonna just drop you!’ And then actually dropped her in the trunk.” Lewis believes Burke is “guilty until proven innocent.” With a case this large and the incriminating evidence, Burke will find it difficult to deny the accusations. Lewis said, “Yes, it’s his fault if it’s in the back of his trunk! He shouldn’t have had it in the back of his trunk! He shouldn’t even be messing with a minor.” As the evidence grows larger by the day, senior Kayla Romero Meza said, “I think it’s crazy that he was messing with a minor at his big age. I think it’s really sad that she died.” Theories continue to arise and Meza stated, “I don’t know if I’d say he killed her, but I do think he definitely played a part in it.” Meza believes the victim’s family played a part, “Nobody said anything. Like her mom knew that she had a boyfriend named David and that she went missing, but they also posted publicly. So, how can you really go missing if you’re popping out with people on your socials?” Meza also believes more than just personal conflicts could have been involved, “Probably could have given her mom hush money too which is insane to even do when it comes to your daughter.” While Romero Meza has gotten deep into the case, others like Senior Alicen Moss have not. “I haven’t gotten that far into it. I just know the baseline.” Although Moss is not well educated on the case, she still believes that he is at fault. “The girl was linked to him. He wrote a song for her. They were proven to have been together when she was younger.” No matter how much evidence there is on Burke, people still take his side. Junior Alejandra Martinez said, “I truly believe that he didn’t do it. I think someone framed him because I know in my heart and soul he did not do it.” When the age difference was brought up Martinez stated, “Age is just a number!” Truly believing in Burke’s good nature. “Maybe it’s a different Celeste. You never know a person’s life. I know like 3,000 people in this world and some of them are all named the same.”
